Segment I – Fertility and Early Embryonic Development Studies
FEED studies are conducted to assess the test item’s toxicity resulting from treatment before mating, through mating and implantation on both parental and the F1, and if required, even on F2 generation.
Among others, we are strongly familiar with ICH S(R2), OPPTS 870.3800, OECD 415, OECD 416 and Extended One Generation Reproductive Toxicity Studies (EOGRTS) according to OECD 443.
We perform the full histopathological evaluation with
- Detailed evaluation of reproductive and endocrine tissues
- Ovary serial sections and quantitative evaluation of primordial and small growing follicles
- Sperm morphology and staging
- Brain neuro-histopathology with quantitative morphometric evaluation
